Background
Creo
needed to develop training materials for a new hardware device
that was rolling off the line.
Challenge
The
company's field engineers were the audience for the training,
and they were located in remote locations in North America
and Europe. They were required to get up to speed on the theory
of operations of the new (and still evolving) product prior
to attending the in-class maintenance course.
Solution
The
degree of exposure the engineers had to the product varied
greatly, so this course became the prerequisite for the in-class
maintenance course. The result was a pre-screened audience
with the same level of knowledge, when entering the classroom
course. The bottom-line results of this eLearning course were
a higher degree of retention for the content of this course,
and in turn for the follow-up classroom course, which decreased
support call escalation to the Response Centre.
