The Project :: Destination Management System
The design and development of Tourism BC’s Destination Management System (DMS) was a monstrous undertaking that involved a large team of 40+ people, a 5 year time frame, and millions of dollars.
The Challenge :: Usability across the board.
Solution :: Involved users in the design process through customer site visits, contextual inquiry with internal users, and 5 rounds of comprehensive usability testing. Through this participatory design process all existing usability issues were driven up to the surface and dealt with through redesign, content strategy, or back-end development changes.
